Detecting them require high detector sensitivity at kHz, which is beyond what we can achieve with current detectors. My current interest is studying ideas for improving kHz sensitivity and working with instrumentalists to demonstrate them in prototypes, e.g., the one to be built in Beijing Normal University and also Gingin High-power Facility in Australia.
Wang Yan Huazhong University of Science and Technology ywang12@hust.edu.cn Gravitational-wave data analysis for space-borne laser interferometers Future space-borne GW detectors, such as LISA, TianQin and etc., will face major data analysis challenges, one of them is to resolve multiple sources of different kinds from the 'whole enchilada' data. This project is aimed to first build data analysis algorithms and pipelines that can tackle the data analysis problem for each source category and then solve the 'global-fit' problem using the state-of-art statistical methods and tools.
