ntp0.gla.ac.uk ntp1.gla.ac.uk ntp2.gla.ac.uk
Check status of the daemon:
systemctl status systemd-timesyncd
Edit /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf NTP line as:
NTP=ntp0.gla.ac.uk ntp1.gla.ac.uk ntp2.gla.ac.uk
Restart daemon
systemctl restart systemd-timesyncd
Can check as before, or get more detailed info with
timedatectl status
Install ntp package
aptitude install ntp
stop ntp
/etc/init.d/ntp stop
edit /etc/ntp.conf and comment out the references to the debian pool servers. Add reference to local servers such as
server ntp0.gla.ac.uk iburst server ntp1.gla.ac.uk iburst server ntp2.gla.ac.uk iburst
Start ntp
/etc/init.d/ntp start
After a while check using ntpq -p
